Despite a positive start to the week, the Colombo Bourse plummeted following the announcement of 44% reciprocal tariffs imposed by USA. Sri Lanka was among the countries charged with the highest tariff rates. Listed export sector counters led by the Apparel manufacturers saw stocks trading down thereby extending the negative momentum to the wider market.
