Colombo Bourse commenced the month with a steep drop followed by volatility, as investors remained cautious ahead of the budget. However, market sentiment improved with robust quarterly earnings driving strong market activity. Selling pressure returned leading towards the latter part of the month. Albeit a positive recovery was seen towards the last few days, it was insufficient to recoup the losses.
